"Something more than just another piece of jewellery in a society where big brands & trends dominate the styles of the masses. With influence from indigenous tribes earthwide & beyond, the jewels that adorn our bodies each have a purpose & energy of their own." The Star Seed
It isn't often I come across a new and exciting bizarre accessory and declare 'I'm setting a new summer trend with this', but that is exactly what happened when I stumbled across The Star Seed. I found their site through one of my twitter followers, Mitra (brains behind the brand), who I swiftly contacted for a piece of this tribal action. I got sent a rather delectable collection of jewellery from the range, which included two head pieces and a Boadicea Armour ring.
But what caught my eye originally I hear you ask? The thigh chain. A thigh chain, what is this???!! I know, I didn't quite understand it either, I just knew it rocked, it looked hot and will be an essential for my summer. And here it is:
As soon as I posted a photo on my social media, the girlies went crazy and requested to know where I got it from so they could get a piece of the thigh candy action. I new I would be setting a trend with this bad boy! Secured to the upper thigh with a comfortable elasticated band, the chain can be worn under shorts, skirts, long tees, dresses (or if you don't mind the black band on show), with a bikini too. It hangs down the thigh in this beautiful three tier shape, and having already worn it to work and catching everyone's eye, I can safely say it's HOT.
I also love the Armour ring, just like the thigh chain it is a statement piece that is so comfortable on, I barely notice it is there. They're also all one size fits all, so you know as soon as it arrives you can add it to your ensemble and head out the house. Hovering around $30-40 for my pieces, I'd say they're all money well spent for some much needed individuality amongst the high street mass produced accessories. The head pieces are beautiful too, perfect for homing in on the 'festival flirt' look that we'll all don this summer.
Boadicea Armour Ring $30, Trilogy Head Piece $40, Thigh Chain $35
